PROGRAM:
Pres. Ralph Witcher introduced Andrea Tinianow, Esq, Founder - Connector Street to discuss Connector Street - How it all Started + How does it Help People? Ralph said that Andrea is most excellent and very capable.
Andrea said it was a pleasure to be with us today, and she liked hearing about all that Rotarians do to help others. She is Connector in Chief at Connector Street, and she pioneered a free mobile app for making introductions (in just a few clicks.}
"Connector Street" is a free app that helps you make instant introductions. The people you introduce don’t need to have the app. Once they open your intro, they can start connecting with each other right away. The app maintains all the connections that you make and receive. So, you can keep track and follow up with your contacts without missing a beat.
As an attorney and business development professional, Andrea advises organizations on blockchain and other emerging technologies. Andrea used her expertise in innovation to create an app to modernize the art of making introductions.
Some of us use LinkedIn and other networking systems, besides Rotary. And most of us want to broaden our own network. And Andrea noted that most of us do not regularly introduce people that we know to one another. But this is how we can help others.
Andrea urges us to get permission first before making a connection. Five other tips from her are:
1. Do a connection in the moment. Don’t put it off.
2. Use a picture with the app.
3. Make sure that the 2 people want to be introduced.
4. Follow up to be sure.
5. If you get introduced yourself, thank the person who did it.
Andrea has a Newsletter which we can get by sending our e-mail address to Andrea. Also she is about to release an “Enterprise” version of her app. This will track the numbers and its usefulness.
CLOSING:
Pres Ralph led us in the saying “One profits most who serves best.”
