THE WORLD NEEDS MORE ROTARIANS

Make it your business to share your Rotary story! When you meet someone who isn't aware of all Rotary has to offer personally, professionally, and to the world, it's an opportunity. Let them know you are one of the 1.4 million people in the world who make the world better by serving the community.

Offer them the chance to join us for an activity or a meeting to learn more. If you don't ask, they won't know! Be a Rotary Ambassador!

DID YOU KNOW?

Labor Day was declared a national holiday in 1894 and is observed on the first Monday in September. The roots of Labor Day grew out of violent clashes between labor and police during the Haymarket Riot in 1886, when thousands of workers in Chicago took to the streets to demand an eight-hour workday.

An IMPACT club is another Innovative Club model - a "Service-Only" version of a Satellite club. It's an extension of your Rotary club, populated by members interested only in service project participation. No meeting, no meal.

GREEN THUMB GARDENS:
Gail Micca reports “Our gardens are finally producing some gorgeous tomatoes, peppers, zucchini, cucumbers, eggplant and herbs.

We have 2-3 harvests per week now, so please let Gail know when you can come and help.

If you have a business and would like to send some employees over to harvest and post a photo on social media, we can do that too!

Working with Plant a Row has been very helpful with getting produce delivered quickly.  We have also had some help from Parkland Garden Club members.  See you at the garden!”
